Realize a student with behavior challenges may be trying his very best. Some problem behaviors are actually manifestations of sensory problems or physical discomfort.

I recently stumbled on this article by Leah Fessler. I loved her idea for supporting collaborative teams. I won’t steal her thunder by describing too much here, but as you read, consider how a “baseball card” idea of crafting and sharing all-about-me information could be used by staff members, by students and their peers, and by students and their teachers. There are many possible applications for this simple strategy. Read it, consider implementing it, and pass it on!
