If you have students in middle and high school who regularly show up without supplies, consider letting them keep a second set of materials in the classroom.

This website is dedicated to promoting inclusive schooling and exploring positive ways of supporting students with autism and other disabilities. Most of my work involves collaborating with schools to create environments, lessons, and experiences that are inclusive, respectful, and accessible for all learners.

12 Days of Inclusion-Inspired Reading

Posted on December 13, 2012 in Inclusion, News

The last few years, I have featured adaptations, teaching tools, and even gifts for students and teachers. This year, I wanted to do something a bit different for my 12 days celebration so I am sharing my love of reading with all of you and highlighting the top 12 books I read this year. Not all of them (but most) are 2012 publications. Some are related to disability, some are for teachers, and some are just for fun. Hope you enjoy reading some of these as much as I did. Posts will begin tomorrow. Happy Holidays!
