Read a book to your student. Then read it again but, this time, have the child read along with you as much as he can. This practice of reading in unison is another great way to encourage and practice fluent reading.

This website is dedicated to promoting inclusive schooling and exploring positive ways of supporting students with autism and other disabilities. Most of my work involves collaborating with schools to create environments, lessons, and experiences that are inclusive, respectful, and accessible for all learners.

WEBSITE WEDNESDAY: MCIE

Posted on September 26, 2012 in Inclusion, News

MCIE’s site isn’t new but it has received a complete overhaul. It was one of my favorite inclusion-related sites before, but now it is even better! Look for new content, new links/recommendations, and lots of resources for parents, teachers, and advocates.

Don’t forget to check out their Facebook page as well; it is another great source of inspiration.
