Teach all students relaxation strategies (e.g., deep breathing, repeating helpful mantras) that they can use when they are stressed.

This website is dedicated to promoting inclusive schooling and exploring positive ways of supporting students with autism and other disabilities. Most of my work involves collaborating with schools to create environments, lessons, and experiences that are inclusive, respectful, and accessible for all learners.

WEBSITE WEDNESDAY: School Psychologist Blog Files

Posted on September 19, 2012 in Families, News

The School Physchologist Blog Files is a blog created by Erin N. King, Ed.S., Nationally Certified School Psychologist.

Her site contains information for parents to help promote better understanding of special education procedures and parental rights. Erin is a school psychologist who has been trained in education law, disabilities, assessment, and promoting educational and emotional growth in children. Her posts are very conversational in tone and I really appreciate the child-centered tips and ideas she offers. The site is designed for parents, but teachers will appreciate the insights as well.
