Having children read the same book repeatedly is a good way to improve reading fluency. Read a book several times with the student and then encourage her to read it to others.

This website is dedicated to promoting inclusive schooling and exploring positive ways of supporting students with autism and other disabilities. Most of my work involves collaborating with schools to create environments, lessons, and experiences that are inclusive, respectful, and accessible for all learners.

Charlie Fox is a lawyer here in Chicago who has a lot of experience advocating for children with disabilities and their families and helping schools support diverse learners.

His blog, Special Education Law Blog, is especially helpful for those new to the world of inclusion and special education, but I have been in this job for over twenty years and I still learn something new from almost every post.
