Create a classroom blog to give students authentic opportunities to write, learn new tech-related skills, and experiment with a range of genres (e.g., book reviews, critique, debate).

This website is dedicated to promoting inclusive schooling and exploring positive ways of supporting students with autism and other disabilities. Most of my work involves collaborating with schools to create environments, lessons, and experiences that are inclusive, respectful, and accessible for all learners.

Maria is also an educational consultant, yoga therapist, and mom to a child with some unique learning characteristics. After witnessing the magic of the device for her own daughter, Maria has been passionately encouraging educators, therapists, and families to realize the full potential of the iPad. Her blog is full of awesome reviews of new apps and old favorites. A few days ago she even posted about Augie AAC -which was developed by a wonderful colleague of mine here in the Chicago area. I know that many of you are going to be bookmarking this week’s pick after you visit.
